"The sexiest Ferrari of them all”

"The most uniquely designed California Spider built"

 These are just a few attempts by car specialists to describe the Ferrari 250GT California Spider. A breathtaking design made by Pininfarina and masterfully executed by Scaglietti – a collaboration of the very best.

 

The design is based on previous experiences gained from Scuderia´s racing cars. It features a V12 engine that produces 226HP with a top speed of 145 mph. But what really matters is not the power or the size of the engine, it is actually how limited the production was, and its beauty. 

 

The project consisted of doing a rebody of the Ferrari 250gte into a California Spider. It is a 1964 California spider V12 with 3 Weber carburetor, which increased the horsepower to 240. The engine size is 2953 cc and it is painted in a lovely Rosso Corsa.

 

I had the pleasure to work with my grandfather. He did not only dedicate his entire life to cars but was also recognized with a Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este. It took us more than 5 years to finish the car. We shared many experiences together and spend a lot of time working. 

 

This California has accompanied us in some of the best adventures I have had. Along with my father, we traveled 6600 km from Chile to Mendoza with the Ferrari club Chile.

 

Two times a year I do a full check of the car to see if everything is working as it should. I´m happy to say that this California has maintained its amazing beauty and is in better shape than ever.
