BENJAMIN BELFUS
This stunning Ferrari is a race car model built during the years 1950’s and 1960’s. They were introduced to race in Le Mans with the new regulation of 3.0L engines. What a strike for the Cabalino Rampante, they won 10 world sports car championships. As usual for Ferrari, its production was very limited, just 34 cars were made during the years 1956 to 1961.
This Testarossa is from 1959. It features a V12 engine, producing 316hp. It has two camshafts. 6 double Weber carburetors are used to get the most out of this Ferrari. The engine size is 3000cc.
This car is not fully an original car. Every single part of the car was made in the Ferrari factory, but the car was not assembled there. However, it was made with the original sketch from the Testarossa. The chassis was built in Italy by Franco (a well-known Ferrari restorer) and then brought to Chile.
I do still work on this car every week, and even though it shares almost everything with the engine of the California, this car and especially its engine since it is adapted for racing (the block is much shorter) requires more effort, time and resources. The most frequent issue I face is the spark plugs, which get stuck almost every time.
